What you should know about your Clasp-Eze Clasps!

 

Question: Can Clasp-Eze be processed in a heat cure bath?

Answer:   No! Clasp-Eze clasps are made from FDA grade nylon

for strength and durability but nylon will lose some of its

properties if cooked for long periods.  It is recommended to

process Clasp-Eze with fast cure acrylic.

 

Question: Can you invest Clasp-Eze in a flask?

Answer:  Yes, but do not cook them during the boilout procedure.

Submerge the flask into boiling water for a minute or two. This

softens the wax and enables you to separate the flask.

Proceed to boil out wax.

 

Question: Can I use "Rubber Separator" (Denture Sep Insulating Paste)

to protect the clasp?

Answer:  Yes, it is extra protection that insures a smooth surface after

deflasking.

 

Question: Can I use the struts that the clasps are attached too?

Answer:  Yes, Do not throw them away.  They can be shaped and used

as I Clasps or small roach clasps.

 

Question: If I wish to make the clasp heavier, can I trim the tip and

start my clasp from there?

Answer:  Yes, but taper the tip to keep the memory intact.

 

Question: Do I have to survey the Clasp-Eze clasp if I am only making

repairs.

Answer:  Yes, The path of insertion may conflict since you are arbitrarily

attaching the clasp without taking into consideration the other clasps

in the mouth.
